Version History can be accessed while working in the file using the Microsoft desktop Apps (Word, Excel or PowerPoint)
Viewing Earlier Versions
1. Open the file.
2. Navigate to the title bar and click on the file name, then select Version History.
3. A Version History pane will open on the right of the screen. This pane lists the previous versions.
4. Click on the earlier version you wish to view. The current version stays open, and the earlier version will open in a new window.
5. You can copy text from the earlier version to the current version, if needed.
Restore the Version
1. On the info bar of the earlier version click Restore to make this version the current Version
Comparing Versions in Word
In Word you can compare an earlier version to the current version to see the differences between the two versions.
1. Open the earlier version you wish to compare.
2. Navigate to the Review Tab of the Ribbon and click Compare.
3. Select your required option and follow the onscreen instructions:
4. A new (unsaved) document will be created.
5. Differences will be shown as they are for track changes.
a. You can open the Reviewing pane (on the Review tab) to see a list of all the differences.
b. You can use Next & Previous to move through the differences.
