To add new templates to the library, do the following.
1. Navigate to the Library
2. Change the view from All Documents to Folder View.
3. Open the Templates folder.
a. To edit an Existing template:
i. Open the template you wish to edit.
ii. Save the changes.
iii. All changes will now be recognised by the New Document App
b. To add a New Template to the Library:
i. If you want to use an existing template as the base, open the file then Save As with a new name to add a new version of that file to the library.
ii. To add a completely new file to the library: click upload on the Ribbon and locate the file you want to use. The file will now be in the library.
4. Open the properties and adjust the Document Type as required. This needs to match the document type that you need it to be associated with so that it shows correctly in the New Document App. It is possible to have multiple documents as templates for the same Document Type. All will display in the New Document App.
5. You publish this file a bit differently.
a. Select the file.
b. Click Submit for approval on the ribbon and then click Publish.
c. Click Approve/Reject from the ribbon. It may be hidden in the overflow menu (…)
d. Click Approve in the Approve/Reject window
e. Click OK.
f. The file will now be published.
